Cerba European Lab has a long history with the creation, over 40 years ago, of Laboratoire Cerba (the leading European laboratory in specialised medical biology). Today it links laboratories in diverse and complementary specialities, ensuring it offers a comprehensive range in terms of biological diagnosis.

  • 1967: Creation of Laboratoire CERBA
    Leading European laboratory in specialised biology
  • 1991 : Acquisition of IPECA
    Expert laboratory in anatomy and pathological cytology
  • 1998: Acquisition of the Specialised medical biology centre of the Pasteur Institute
    Expert laboratory in infectious diseases
  • 2006: Acquisition of Laboratoire GENAZUR
    Laboratory specialised in cytogenetics
  • 2007: Acquisition of the BARC Group,
    Leading company in Belgium for medical biology and global player in clinical trials
  • 2009: Acquisition of Laboratoire BIOLILLE
    Regional leader in medical biology
  • 2010: Acquisition of Biotop Développement in the south of France and Centre Biologique du Chemin Vert (CBCV) in Paris.
  • 2011: Acquisition of the groups BIOREUNION Group (based in La Réunion), KETTERTHILL Laboratories (Luxembourg), BIOPYRENEESLAB Group (based in the south west of France) and MEDIC LAB (based in Belgium).
  • 2012: Acquisition of the groups BIOBAIE Laboratory (based in west of France) and BIOPOLE 80 (Amiens).
  • 2013: Acquisition of the group CBM 76 (Normandy, France).
  • 2014: Acquisition of the group JSBIO (PACA area, south east of France).
  • 2015: Acquisition of NOVESCIA Group and Bioponant and Goelab (Brittany), Vigibio (Nice) et Cerdibio et Labo 17 (Charentes) laboratories.
  • November 30, 2015 : Cerba European Lab becomes Cerba HealthCare
