Biology

The Cerba HealthCare network uses a range of over 2,000 biological parameters for its daily tests.

The majority of the medical prescriptions correspond to routine medical biology tests that are carried out by all of the Cerba HealthCare biology laboratories. Around 5 to 6% of the medical prescriptions contain tests rarely requested demanding very particular medical or scientific skills and sometimes specific certification. These very specialised tests are carried out on the specialities site (Laboratoire Cerba).

Since its creation Cerba HealthCare has focused on multidisciplinary and specialised medical biology. The group’s activity is entirely directed towards excellence, innovation and technological investment.

Cerba HealthCare includes within its network, sample centres, local medical biology laboratories offering patients and doctors a territorial network and the assurance of optimal care, as well as a specialised biology laboratory, Laboratoire Cerba, the European leader in specialised biology.

This laboratory works in close partnership with all of the laboratories of the Cerba HealthCare network but also with over 5,000 laboratories in France and internationally.

All the laboratories in the network have based their reputation on the continuous development of new tests and the realisation of tests with high medical added value.

In fact, on average, 50 new parameters are developed every year thanks to the expertise of the clinical scientists in the network and to the partnership established with the Pasteur Institute, certain INSERM units and biotechnology companies.

A medical team, formed from over 90 doctors and laboratory pharmacists, is at the disposal of healthcare providers (doctors and clinical scientists) to help them interpret an isolated result or an assessment, to discuss the monitoring of a patient file and the significance of a test according to the clinical context.
The organisation of technical resource units, the biomedical expertise of the team and quality assurance procedures ensure accurate, commented and rapid results.
