Biology of clinical trials

Before any drug can be authorised for sale it must undergo a process of clinical trials that validate its effectiveness and determine its side effects.

Clinical trials, currently carried out on an international level, include a range of medical biology tests that are indispensable to objectivize the results. These tests can be simple but sometimes new parameters need to be developed in a specific way.

In order to carry out a clinical trial, pharmaceutical companies need capable partners to take responsibility for transporting the samples, the tests and management of the results as well as biobanking (storage of biological samples).

Cerba HealthCare has within its network major players in clinical trial biology: the BARC group.
